NEO 3.0 test network launched

The developers of the NEO blockchain project this Monday announced the achievement of an important mark on the way to launch the third version of their protocol along with the opening of a test network. In addition, new NEO3 details have been unveiled.

Features of the first NEO3 variation include various optimizations to the project architecture. So, in the new version, NEO will abandon the model of unspent transaction outputs (UTXO), smart contracts will receive a number of additional features, and transactions and blocks will be optimized. In addition, an updated dBFT2.0 consensus mechanism will be introduced and performance improvements made.
